Reasonably well written but a weak story line

It is a multi-generational tale of a family haunted by the death of a young concubine in 1930s. Essentially a critique of a custom that is still commonly practised widely throughout Asia. It is naive, lacking substance and authenticity.

Just another story which doesn’t really get anywhere.

A not entirely believable special forces action thriller

But credible enough to pass as an easy read. A book for a long journey.

I could use people who can write. But it seems you either end up with people who cant or writers you cant afford. Is there no middle road? This is what I am looking for.

A not to be believed pre-war thriller set aboard the Titanic.

Predictably both the hero and heroine make it through to the end of the book a bit battered and bruised, to complete the happy ending.

I write because I enjoy it and particularly like taking complicated or mundane subjects and making them easily understood and somehow interesting. I have written for several years on the internet producing SEO articles. Length of copy varies from tiny tweets, comments on face book and small blogs of three hundred words to lengthy promotional articles of more than a thousand words.

Subjects range from international travel and hospitality, to finance, health, employment, property and so much more.

I write articles relating to original web content, and place them in ezine directories and link all of these together to create the spider pattern that the search engines love so passionately. This in turn raises the ranking of your website, bringing you traffic, making you money

Supposedly written by John le Carre, Single & Single was a nasty shock.

It irritated me from the first couple of lines. Hollow and unconvincing, the book didn’t improve and I abandoned it very quickly.

Previously I have read and thoroughly enjoyed reading, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Little Drummer Girl as well as his Spy Who Came In From The Cold. But this book was disappointing and badly written, raising the question of whether John le Carre is not overrated as a writer and capitalising on the success of his earlier books.

Ruin Beach by Kate Rhodes is your stock standard, run of the mill ‘who dunnit’ crime novel.

A story set in a small island community, to pass the time by.
